How to play
Collect all the gold, dig holes to trap the guards, then climb out. Twenty handmade levels plus endless generated ones. Works offline.
Collect every gold block and a ladder appears. Climb it to the top of the screen to clear the level. Guards chase you: dig a hole in the dirt beside you and they fall in. Holes fill back up after a few seconds, so do not stand in one. You cannot jump, and you cannot dig stone. Clearing a level earns an extra life.
Controls
- Keyboard: arrow keys or W A S D to move and climb, Z or Q to dig left, X or E to dig right.
- P or Escape pauses, R restarts the level at the cost of a life, M mutes.
- Touch: the pad on the left moves, the two buttons on the right dig. Hold your device in landscape.
Mine Lode is a real-time action game drawn on a canvas, so it cannot be played with a screen reader.
Privacy
Your progress, sound settings and your own top-ten tables stay on your device, in this browser's local storage. No analytics and no cookies. If you choose to post a score to the shared board, the page sends three initials, the score, the level reached, the mode and (for Endless) the seed. These are shown publicly. A Cloudflare human check runs when you enter your initials; your IP address is not stored. Full policy: Can't Lose Software privacy.
